About the Album:
This album was a compilation of fiddle tracks from our television series STAMPEDE JAMBOREE, shot at CFAC Television in Calgary. The syndicated series ran for two seasons. After the series ended, Ross Sound in Regina released this album. The cover art was done by Marlene Hinz from Prince Albert, and the project sold over 10,000 copies in its first week of release. It was a TV offer, available in Woolco Stores across Saskatchewan, and every day, Ross Reibling would pick Brian Sklar up, take him to a Woolco store, where Sklar would appear in his Captain Canada outfit, playing along with the tracks and signing albums. The album stalled out when Marvel Comics challenged the use of the name Captain Canada, after the album was released in the Maritimes. Not having the resources to fight the Marvel group, the label pulled the project.
