About the Album:
C.C. on the Rocks was recorded on Mothers Day, 1972 at Joe Kozak's in Edmonton. Our second album, this time, we took along Beau Davis on drums. I was the drummer in the group, but he was a great drummer and a good friend, and that left me free to fiddle and sing. We had Freddie Pelletier playing guitar in the group, Doug Aman on steel, Don Dueck was still playing bass, and Rick Stevenson on rhythm guitar and background vocals. He and his sisters were great harmony singers, and that's where we learned three-part harmony...in a hotel room in The Pas, listening to Rick, Millie, and Dolly sing that great sibling harmony.

Like our first effort, Introducing the Canadian Club Entertainers, this album also took about three hours to record. The cover shot was taken at a studio in Estevan, Saskatchewan by Jack Jenish, and the back shot was taken between Calgary and Banff by Bill Lander, a good friend and award-winning photographer from Calgary.

Again, this album was mostly a collection of our most requested stage tunes. Like the first album, this one sold really well in the bars and even got a little airplay. We would stop at the radio station in every town we played in or passed through, dropping off play copies and doing interviews, when permitted. By this time, we were touring from B.C. to Ontario, playing bars and sharing the stage with Go-Go dancers. In fact, in a lot of the Northern Ontario bars, we were required to play live music while the girls danced. Good thing we were drunk most of the time, or we might not have survived.
